A lot of things go back to when I was six. When I was six, I started fighting with my sister (before that she was a baby). I guess that's fine because when you are born, you enter into a contract and you chose the family you do for a reason. And we have learned from each other. I also started reading chapter books, voraciously. We moved into an apartment and I rarely got to be outside anymore.
I also have a great BS detector, apparently. Which is a gift. But since I am spiritually growing, I can be compassionate and understand that people who are full of it are on their path and learning and I should respect them for who and where they are, and be ready for when they are ready to show their true selves more. Instead of turning off because I (correctly) sense they are not being authentic.
So where does this stem from? Apparently in a past life so long ago, it was on Mars, I looked for a temple for a long time and finally found one. And when I got there, I saw they were full of it, so I was very upset. And ever since, I have been fed up with that sort of thing. Funny, eh?
So I need to practice daily coming back into the present, and choosing to be in the present. And finding practices that work for me--maybe prayer and meditation, aromatherapy, sacred dance (physical movement, including yoga, is easy to put on auto for me, so I can still tune out).

I went running for the first time the other day in the evening, for the first time since I got here. It was nice--such a serotonin buzz. I couldn't do it before because my back was in too much pain. The landscape is beautiful for running.

I am familiar with your strong BS detector - did the intuitive reader actually call it that?!?! I also love your well-honed imagination and intuition. I am with you in the imagination department, though I don't pay as much attention to my intuition as I should. you have many very good qualities! I'm glad you're getting to focus on spiritual development and learn to be in the moment when you want to. (you don't have to all the time, do you? sometimes I am bored to shit with the moment and go hang out in Katieland instead.)
many things seemed off-putting at the Temple of Presence. not for you, or me either. people can be very enthusiastic about some bizarre things.
this line made me laugh: "I basically just stated all you need to know about the violet flame, but I had to listen to a lot of bologna to get this information." I should have you read stuff for me and summarize because I get tired of filtering through the crap to what I need to know. oh, I guess sometimes the crap is called "context" and turns out to be important, but time is money and I've got a business to run. back to the golf course and my dirty martini! (I just looked at the alcohol poster on the door and decided on that drink!)
at St. Joan (the liberal Catholic church I've been investigating) they talk a lot about how the Kingdom Of God is inside you. so, I like that, but I always feel kind of confused when they talk about the Body of Christ and Jesus, even though I was raised Catholic, spent four years in Catholic school, and received all the sacraments you can get (except for marriage or the priesthood). I just get so confused about the anthropomorphic god. what about the animals and plants??? humans aren't the most important species. I hate how we think we're hot shit and we're the only ones with spiritual lives. I think we're just needier than a lot of other species. do they talk about that stuff at the Tree?
